I have not read Mohawk Moonthe first novel in this series. Kuhn takes readers like me into account ensuring that Mohawk Sunrise can easily work as a stand-alone novel. The subsequent introduction to Damien and Jany is quickly and yet thoroughly done and in a manner so intriguing that one cannot help but want to continue with the story.Much of the novel is told in present tense. Present tense makes for an interesting challenge to an author who chooses to maintain first person present for characters of both genders. Each character is uniquely constructed and distinct in their voice. Jany is a bit Penelope Pitstop, the innocent in danger. Samantha is the epic baddie who just wants to see blood, that will make her feel better. Dimitri is the character who just wants his money. Damien is the hero type but will he fly in and save the day?
There is a lot of "excitement" going on in pants in Mohawk Sunrise. Just for my own curiousity, I did a word search for excitement in the novel and counted how many times it was used in a sexual sense. The grand total is 13. Like "groin," which logged in at a grand total of 3 times, "excitement" seemed to be used a lot more than it was. This is not to say it was distracting but more that there's a lot of sexuality, if not sex, in the narrative. Erotic moments are more frequent than graphic giving Mohawk Sunrise a solid listing in the romance category. The novel ends with a figurative bang and great promise for the next novel in the series.
If you're a fan or romance and intrigue and don't mind a little sex, Mohawk Sunrise should be your next read.

Wow this 2nd book took me on a ride!! I officially hate Samantha! I want to slap the snot out of her lol
Dimitri OMG he needs to hurry up and die, i can't stand him! I almost felt sorry for him and Sam but that quickly went out the door as i kept reading. At the end of the book i yelled out loud NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! Damn, damn!! You left me wanting more!! Great book Nicole!

N. Kuhn does NOT disappoint. The writing is incredible, the story is wonderful, and I'm left, once again, wanting more. I look forward to reading more by this author!!!
I enjoyed Mohawk Sunrise by N Kuhn, but really, can't Janelle ever get a break? This silly Scepter has been such a curse. Once again, family bonds and trust are the themes in this very suspenseful book.
This story picks up where Mohawk Moon left off, revealing somethings and giving us a ride in this one. Things do not go well for Jany and Damien in this ride, without giving anything away we are left wanting more....and I can't wait to see how this ride ends.
Action packed from start to finish. I was never bored. The plot from Mohawk Moon thickened in Mohawk Sunrise. Great characters. I love to hate the villians, and I hate to love them. The book ended leaving me wanting more. I can't wait for the next book to see what happens!
You had me at Mohawk Moon and then hooked me with Mohawk Sunrise. So much tension, Sunrise was too hard to put down, so I didn't. The author is a wizard in weaving conflict into the plot, with scene after scene, and leaving me wondering what's next? I love a book where there's equal amounts of character upheaval, and boy this story keeps the reader enthralled. Kuhn melds the relationship of Jany and Damien a Sunrise, then back to the grind with more and more coming at them. I was genuinely enjoyed the resolution provided to Jany between Moon and Sunrise given her dysfunctional family ties (I don’t want to spoil anything for readers new to the series). And now I wonder, which direction the author will take us next? Looking forward to the next book in the Mohawk series. Definitely, I'm a Mohawk fan.
Mohawk Sunrise starts where Mohawk Moon ended. Damien and Janelle are in Rome enjoying some quality time together. They moment is short lived when Dimitri shows up wanting to finish what he started. Damien and Janelle realize that someone has to be helping Dimitri because the only ones who knew exactly where they were are her sister and her sister's fiancé. Janelle doesn't believe it but she might have to face the fact that her own sister betrayed her. Samatha hates Janelle for leaving her and instead of just talking to Janelle and letting her know how she felt, she wants revenge. Will Damien and Janelle be able to escape death or will it once again come knocking at their door?
"Mohawk Sunrise" is a good read. There were moments that happened that I didn't see coming and never expected. I recommend this book to anyone looking for a good quick read with a lot of betrayal and some good sibling rivalry.
